Anniversary edition of the Koasalauf an unique skiing festival
- European Championships of cross-country skiing marathons gets exciting
Jiri Rocarek (CZE, Fischer Subaru Racing Team) and Thomas Freimuth (GER, Skinfit Racing Team) won the biggest Austrian cross-country skiing marathon race, the Koasalauf and lead the ranking of the European Championships of cross-country skiing marathons after the first race. Klara Moravcova (CZE) won the women’s race and leads the European Championships of cross-country skiing marathons ranking with a huge margin.
At wonderful conditions and a perfect organization, the 40th edition of the Koasalauf was a skiing festival for the 1.800 participants from 22 nations and lots of spectators in St. Johann in Tyrol. After an exciting race, the most successful cross-country skiing marathon runners in Central Europe, Jiri Rocarek and Thomas Freimuth are the leaders of the European Championships of cross-country skiing marathons ranking. The decision will be made at the Sumavsky Skimarathon in Vimperk/ Czech Republic on February 26th in the classic technique.
