Ruiz and Weibel win the Marxa Beret

For the premiere of the Marxa Beret in the Euroloppet series, two well-known athletes won the race in Spain. Diego Ruiz and Caroline Weibel won the race in front of international rivals.

Ruiz wins the race with a sprint
 
One of the best Spanish in the cross-country scene, Diego Ruiz, won the 42 km in the classic technique at the Pla de Beret. He won the Sprint against the Norvegian Thorodd Bakken and the French Baptiste Cazaux. The former French national squad athlete Caroline Weibel won the women’s race 25 minutes in front of Marielle Bigot and Montserra Domingo.

Additional to the 42 km race, a 21 km race is also offered at the Marxa Beret. The short distances were dominated by the Spanish athletes. The women’s race was won by Nani Ruiz, Jose Manuel Rodriguez won the men’s race. In total, more than 700 participants finished the different races at the Marxa Beret.
