Skadi Loppet Bodenmais (Germany) 2012
In Bodenmais the International Skadi Loppet takes place from March 19th to March 20th, the seasonal final of cross-country skiers in Central Europe.
The location
Bodenmais is at the bottom of the Großer Arber in the Bavarian Forest. 3.300 inhabitants live in the health resort on nearly 700 meters altitude. The community earns its money with tourism and offers in the winter and also in the summer a lot of possibilities to do sports. The cross-country skiing center “Aktivzentrum Bodenmais” on an altitude of 1.100 meters is one of the snow safest areas in Germany and the starting and finishing area of the Skadi Loppet.
