The Biggest Ski Marathon event in Eastern Germany – Tradition in the national park Erzgebirge Vogtland
The International Kammlauf in Klingenthal welcomes up to 1.500 cross-country skier in the music- and winter sports city Klingenthal. Tracks over 26 and 43 km in the free and classic technique are offered on the \\\"Kammweg\\\" with it\\\'s beautiful scenery through wide spurce-woods. By the altitude constantly over 800 meters above sea level, the region always have snow in winter. With a tradition over 40 years, the Kammlauf is an established event in the German and International Ski Marathon calendar.
This is the highlight of the winter in Kligenthal.
Klingenthal is a centre of the traditional nordic skiing centers of German\\\'s skiing history. Lots of top athletes in cross-country skiing, biathlon and ski jumping are from the Erzgebirge and the Thüringer Wald.
