Ivanou and Shevchenko win La Transjurassienne
The Belarus Aliaksei Ivanou and the Ukranian Valentina Shevchenko won this year’s edition of la Transjurassienne over 76 km respectively 54 km in France and made a total triumph of the Skinfit Racing Team.
Exciting sprint on the home stretch
On the home stretch in Mouthe Ivanou decided the men’s race. “This was a great day for me and I had a great ski, especially on the last kilometers.” The Italian Sergio Bonaldi and the former Czech world-champion Martin Koukal finished on the ranks 2 and 3. The Austrian Michael Eberharter from the Skinfit Racing Team finished on the 9th rank and completed the great performance of the team.
Shevchenko a class for her own
Valentina Shevchenko broke up after 8 km of the 54 km race and won the women’s race 6 minutes before her rivals. The Italian Steffi Santer and the Estonian Tatjana Mannima finished on the ranks 2 and 3. The French Christelle Jouille won the 76 km women’s race and the Swiss Jürg Ruegsegger won the 54 km men’s race.
Already on Saturday, the French Annick Vaxelaire and Jeremy Weibel won the 50 km in the classic technique. In total, about 3.000 participants finished the races in the French Jura.
