The Swiss skiers Rahel Imoberdorf and Curdin Perl won the European Ski Marathon Championships 2018

The Swiss cross-country skiers won all medals at the Ski Marathon European Championships - at the 46th Gommerlauf in Valais. At the 5th and 6th place are the best foreigners in the men's race with Manuel Sieber (GER) and Per Gunar Mustad (NOR). In the women's category, the German Linda Becker as 4th is the best non Swiss

Ideal conditions for more than 2000 cross-country skiers from 25 nations in Goms. About 150 cm snow, a magnificent mountain scenery, sunshine and a perfect organization. The European Ski Marathon Championships 2018 were held over 42 km in free technique as Race to Race at the 46th Gommerlauf.

In the men's category, the former Swiss World Cup skier Curdin Perl, won clearly before his compatriots Jöri Kidschi and Remo Fischer.

Rahel Imoberdorf won the ladies race with a great time, only 6:50 min. behind  the European Champion Curdin Perl. The silver and bronze medals went to Nicole Donzallaz and Margit Abächerli, both Switzerland too.
