A pioneer project – a cross-country skiing marathon race in Spain – developed to a successful story.
Marxa Beret is the largest cross-country skiing marathon race in Spain, where about 1.500 cross-country skiers take part. The race is located in Baqueira-Beret, the largest winter-sports-station of the Pyrenees. Baqueira-Beret is in the upper part of Val d’Aran (Naut Aran) and the Pallars Sobirà (Valls d’Àneu). The Marxa Beret will be held in the area of the skiing stadium of Baqueira-Beret. 42 km, 21 km and 10 km are offered in the classic technique.
The Marxa Beret takes place on the first Sunday in February. The landscape of Val d’Aran and Pallars Sobrià is very beautiful. The valleys consists of more than 50 small villages with typical houses of the Pyrenees.
“Muchas Gracias” to all cross-country skiers who visits the Marxa Beret.
