MarciaGranParadiso is a cross-country skiing competition, which takes place every year in Cogne, Aosta Valley. This event was born in 1975 thanks to the vision of 10 daring people of cogne which gave the opportunity to all participants to enjoy the incredible nature and the stunning landscapes of Gran Paradiso National Park.
Today MarciaGranParadiso takes place over three days and offers two competitions, the Skating and Classic, both of 45 and 25 km, dedicated to adults, and a race dedicated to the youngest, the so-called Minimarcia. Since 2016 the event has become part of the Euroloppet international circuit.
The weekend of Marciagranparadiso has scheduled three important events on skis. Friday's race, the 'Skating', for all those who want to challenge themselves with the free technique. And Sunday's race, the 'Classic', for all those who love the alternated technique. Both competitions offer choice between 45 km and 25 km, with start and finish set at Prati di Sant'Orso. On Saturday therefore, the day is dedicated to children, with the Minimarcia: an event during which more than 500 young kids are coming from all over to compete on the snow and have fun at the Cross-Country Skiing Stadium in Cogne.
