The "Loipe Goms" - The home of cross-country skiing

The "Loipe Goms" has a rich tradition in cross-country skiing - the fun begins in November and lasts until the end of March in a network of ski runs encompassing more than 80 kilometres. Winter hikers will also enjoy more than 50 kilometres of winter hiking trails. Various marked snowshoe trails, sledge runs such as the 10-kilometre run from Grimsel Pass (2165 metres above sea level) to Oberwald as well as numerous family-friendly ski runs complete the range of winter activities offered.
