The start & finish area is located in the so-called Koasastadion, the local sport & cross-country skiing centre. This is located close to the centre of St. Johann in Tirol in a vast valley along the imposing massif of the Wilder Kaiser, which is nicknamed Koasa by locals proud of its presence.
The perfectly prepared trails have been very carefully chosen and lead competitors down wide and flat passages punctuated by brisk climbs and descents. The routes of different distances lead competitors back together at the end over wide flat passages towards the finish area.
The resorts of St. Johann in Tirol, Oberndorf, Kirchdorf and Erpfendorf welcome over 2,000 starters every year from 20 nations.
The K100 is a combined event of the 50km race in the classic style on Saturday and a 50km skating race on Sunday. As well as this particularly challenging option there is the K8, which is especially suitable for amateur athletes who want to take part in the Koasa Run without feeling too much pressure.
All competitors can use the Panorama Bathing World in St. Johann in Tirol for free after the event. Starting numbers serve as entrance tickets www.badewelt.at and competitors are to be provided with a wristband when start numbers are handed out that provides free access to the catering tent.
From Friday – the chance to test the latest FISCHER SKI cross-country ski models, cross-country ski trainers available and ski waxing from the SWIX company at the Koasastadion
If registering for both event days (classic on Saturday and skating on Sunday), participants are to receive a gift worth € 15,-
