Date: 29.08.2015 Location: Scharnitz über die Eng bis nach Pertisau Route: 52 km und 35 km

The legendary Karwendel March offers long-distance hikers, Nordic Walkers and runners quite a unique natural sporting experience. Participants meet at the starting point in Scharnitz at 06:00 on 29 August 2015 in order to cover 35 km (for hikers and Nordic Walkers) or 52 kilometres using their preferred form of movement. From here they hike via Larchetalm, Karwendelhaus, Kleiner Ahornboden, Falkenhütte, Eng and Binsalm, Gramai-Hochleger and Gramaialm down to Pertisau on Lake Achensee. As well as offering a sporting challenge, issues such as the protected status of the Karwendel region and the health of human beings and nature are also brought to the fore. Participants are handed pure organic products at the aid stations to help keep their strength up, and after their day\\\\\\\'s work is done the hard-working runners receive soothing shale oil products to help their tired feet to recover. www.karwendelmarsch.info
