The Skadi Loppet trails are laid out at an altitude of 1060m to 1320m. The Skadi Loppet is characterised by wide trails through beautiful high forests, with repeated panoramic views of the Bavarian Forest. A lively alternation of ascents and descents guarantees you a varied race. A dream for a true classic runner.
The tracks run in very selective terrain, on wide tracks, always alternating between climbs, descents and flat sections. With almost 900 metres of altitude difference over the 42 km course, the Skadi Loppet challenges every cross-country skier.

“Do you love a challenge? – then come to the Skadi Loppet”
The Skadi Loppet is the season finale for ski marathon runners in Central Europe. The special flair of the event, the atmosphere among the participants and the good organisation make the Skadi Loppet a cross-country skiing festival at the end of the season every year on the third weekend in March.
The Bodenmais Tourist Centre hosts the participants of the Skadi Loppet. The cross-country skiing network with over 100 km of groomed trails daily, at an altitude of 1150 m to 1300 m, is one of the most snow-sure and beautiful cross-country skiing areas in Central Europe. The Skadi Loppet trails are laid out in this terrain, with magnificent views over the mountains and valleys of the Bavarian Forest.
The start and finish are at an altitude of 1120 m (Aktivzentrum Bretterschachten) and are about 10 minutes by car from the town of Bodenmais.
The stadium, Skadi Loppet Arena, has limited car parking. However, it is served by a free bus transfer (every 15 minutes) for all cross-country skiers.
The Skadi Loppet Arena in the Bodenmais Bretterschachten Activity Centre is a meeting and event centre. From Friday to Sunday, the Skadi Loppet sports fair is set up here and the start numbers can be collected.
